Report: N Stream 2 liquidates unit for certification in Germany

BERLIN, Jan 20 (PRIME) -- Gas for Europe GmbH, a unit of the operator of Russia's Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project, established for certification of the project under the German law, was liquidated, news portal T-online reported on Friday.

According to the report, the decision postpones the certification of the project indefinitely.

In September, pressure drops and gas leaks were detected in a thread of Nord Stream 2 and in both threads of Nord Stream in the Swedish and Danish waters. Operator of Nord Stream said that it could not predict the timeframe for gas transportation infrastructure restoration until the damage assessment is completed.
